The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:
At 12:24 p.m., thye police department was investigating a traffic complaint in the 800 block of West Main Street. During the investigation it was found that the male subject had several outstanding warrants. The male attempted to flee on foot from the investigating officers and was later located in the 800 block of West Main Street. The male was identified as a Nathaniel Chamblin, 23, of Hillsboro, and was arrested on two outstanding bench warrants and was also charged with obstruction.
At 4:53 p.m., the police department responded to a crash in the area of Pea Ridge Road and North West Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Katherine Griffith, 86, of Hillsboro, operating a 1995 Ford van, was traveling northbound on North West Street and while stopped to make a left turn onto Pea Ridge Road, Willard Parr, 92, of Hillsboro, operating a 2008 Buick sedan, failed to observe traffic was stopped and Parr struck the rear of Griffith’s vehicle. Parr was cited for assured cleared distance.
At 12:18 p.m., the police department responded to a crash in the area of South High Street and Muntz Street. Upon officer arrival it was found that Velma Hollingsworth, 83, of Hillsboro, operating a 2002 Chevrolet sedan, had a medical condition that interfered with her driving and resulted in her vehicle striking the rear of a 2007 Nissan driven by William D. Hilterbran, 55, of Hillsboro. Hollingsworth was transported to Highland District for further evaluation.
Angela Lee Mason, 28, of Hillsboro, bench warrant failure to appear.
Kenneth Keim, 23, of Georgetown, citation for failure to obey traffic a control device.
Joshua Alan Jackson, 23, of Smithville, Texas, citation for disorderly conduct.
A 16-year-old femaile from Washington C.H. was charged with being an unruly juvenile.
Kyle W. Werner, 38, of Wilmington, bench warrant failure to appear.
