Jingle books, jingle books, jingle all the way. We encourage all those who have signed up for our Jingle Books Reading Program to continue to read and complete their reading logs.
All logs must be turned in by Monday, Nov. 23 to receive a ticket to participate in Jingle Books Day at the library on Saturday, Dec. 5. There is still time to sign up; just ask for details at the front desk.
Knit Together will meet on Thursday, Nov. 5, 12 and 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bring in your current project and join us for a time of conversation and knitting.
Leesburg area veterans are invited to stop by the library on Monday, Nov. 9 or Tuesday, Nov. 10 during our hours of operation to pick up a Veteran Goodie Bag. We hope these bags will convey our thanks to our veterans for their service to our country.
The library will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Please use our outdoor book drop box if you need to return materials.
SPARX, our teen book discussion group, will meet on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All teens grades seven and up are welcome to attend. The books to be discussed this month are the reader’s choice. Join us for pizza, pop and the scoop on new teen books available at the library.
The RRR book discussion group will meet on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m. The book being discussed is “The Girl You Left Behind” by JoJo Moyes. We hope all members will be able to attend.
Our story times continue Thursdays at 10 a.m. for the Wee Ones (ages 6-36 months) and 10:30 a.m. for the Tater Tots (ages 3-5). We will be having many holiday themes coming up so we hope you will join us for lots of fun with your little ones. Themes for November are I Believe I can Fly, The Magic of Books, and Happy Thanksgiving.
The library will close at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and remain closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen on Friday, Nov. 27.
