Check It Out

By Sharon Aukeman

Whether March comes in like a lion or a lamb, the staff at the Leesburg Branch Library hopes that our patrons will venture out to visit us during the month. We invite you to join our Knit Together group which continues to meet every Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Bring whatever project you are working on and join us for conversation and knitting. Beginners are welcome.

Our teen book club, SPARX, will meet Thursday, March 10 at 5:30 p.m. The group is always looking for new members so feel free to join them for some lively discussion of the book “The Runaway King” by Jennifer A. Nielsen. As always, pizza and pop will be served.

Our adult book group, RRR meets on Thursday, March 17 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah. They are also looking for new members so feel free to attend their meeting in March.

We have been having great fun during our storytimes here at the Leesburg Library. Wee Ones (6-36 months) meet at 10 a.m. and Tater Tots (3-5 years) meet at 10:30 a.m. Topics this month include This Littlie Piggy, On Top of Spaghetti, That’s Just Ducky, Easter Parade and Let’s Go Camping. Join us for a morning of storytime fun.

We look forward to seeing you in March and hope that the luck of the Irish will be with you this month and throughout the year.
