As many readers have already noticed, The Times-Gazette this week launched a revamped website that is more visually appealing and more functional and navigable, especially for smart phones.

Also available is a new Times-Gazette app for both iPhones and Androids. The apps can be downloaded from our website, www.timesgazette.com, or from your smart phone at the app store. Both the revamped website and the new apps are designed to be easily compatible with a variety of social media links and features.

“Our digital world is constantly evolving, and we are committed to meeting those changes with improvements and upgrades to keep up with technological advances,” said Gary Abernathy, publisher and editor of The Times-Gazette. “We’ve already heard from readers who like the upgrades we made, and more changes can be expected from time to time as we keep up with a rapidly changing digital landscape.”

Readers will soon see an increase in video versions of news stories, with our new website more compatible with video production capabilities.

With more than 50,000 unique visitors each week and hundreds of thousands of page views each month, timesgazette.com is the most visited news website and the leading platform for local news and information in Highland County. The Times-Gazette Facebook page has almost 7,500 “likes,” and our Twitter platform has nearly 1,200 followers, both nearly double any other local news provider.

The Times-Gazette has been providing news and information for Highland County readers since 1818, and plans are underway to celebrate our 200th anniversary in 2018.
