Highland County Sheriff’s Office reports

Sheriff Donnie Barrera reports for the week of July 25-31, the Highland County Sheriff’s Office received 341 911 calls, answered 150 requests for service, dispatched 113 fire and EMS runs, took 33 offense reports and investigated three traffic crashes.

On July 25 at 11:08 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to an Edwards Road residence after a household member called the sheriff’s office to report an intoxicated female trespassing on the premises. Janice Flint, 56, was arrested for one count of criminal trespass and transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

A Lynchburg resident called the sheriff”s office to report a domestic violence incident on July 27 at 12:35 a.m. Deputies responded to the Pearl Street home where a male and female had been involved in a physical altercation. Daniel Hampton of Lynchburg was arrested and charged with one count of domestic violence.

Deputies were dispatched to a Lynchburg residence at 4:04 p.m. on July 30 after receiving a report of an assault. An argument between two females escalated to physical violence and resulted in both being arrested. Tiffany Fawley, 31, was charged with one count of criminal damaging. Shirley Fawley, 51, was charged with assault and criminal trespass. Both were transported to the Highland County Justice Center.

At 5:35 a.m. on July 31 a citizen on Gath Road called 911 to report being assaulted at his residence. Deputies responded to the scene and found the suspect had fled the scene on foot, but was likely still in the area. Several structures were searched but the suspect was not located. An offense report was taken and an arrest warrant has been filed for the suspect.
