Old Timers Days 5K Run/Walk

The Christian Missionary Fellowship Church is again hosting the Old Timers Days 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 19. Registration begins at 7 am. and the event starts at 8 a.m. at the old Malcom Car Lot, 217 Rarden Rd., Peebles. A $20 entry fee includes a T-shirt and runner and walker categories are based on age ranges. CMF helps build churches in other parts of the world with the money raised.

Back To Church Sunday

Back To Church Sunday will be held Sunday, Sept. 20 at the Sinking Spring Community Church. Sunday School will be at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10 a.m. There will be classes for all age groups. Jimmy Dooley will be performing in concert at 6:30 p.m. at the church. He is a Christian artist who has been performing for several years. Pastor Greg Seam hopes to see everyone there.

St. Mary quarter auction

St. Mary Catholic School will have its fall spaghetti dinner and quarter auction on Tuesday, Sept. 22. Dinner will start at 5:30 p.m. and the auction at 6:30 p.m. Food and quarters will be available for purchase. St. Mary is located at 119 E. Walnut St., Hillsboro. Open Door free meal in Greenfield

The Open Door free meal at the Greenfield United Methodist Church will be held Saturday, Sept. 26. Eat-in serving will begin at 4 p.m. The menu will be chicken casserole, green beans, bread and fruit.

Soup’s On free meal in Hillsboro

The Soup’s On free meal will be served Saturday, Sept. 26 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Hillsboro. Prayer and praise is at 4:30 p.m. and dinner, eat-in only, will be served from 5-6 p.m. The menu will be taco salad, assorted desserts and drinks.

Come Meet Your Neighbor

Fall Creek Friends Church will hold a Come Meet Your Neighbor event at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. The church is located at 11345 Karnes Rd. There will be food, friends, fellowship and music. Pastor Scott Latimer welcomes everyone.

Dinner at First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield

The First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield will serve dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27 in the church dining room. The menu will be beef and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans or peas, homemade applesauce, coleslaw, a variety of desserts, and drinks. The cost of the meal is a suggested donation of $8 per adult. Kids 12 and under are free. Carry-out will be available.
