Swimming toward district appearance

Hillsboro senior Jonah Humphries hits the pool Tuesday in preparation for a district meet appearance. The Hillsboro High School boys 200-meter relay team earned a slot at districts after competing in the sectional championship at Athens High School on Saturday, finishing fourth out of 14 on the day. According to Hillsboro swim coach Teresa Marion, the boys’ time was 1:45.38. Relay swimmers are Humphries, senior; Micah Pinney, senior; Sevrin Florek, sophomore; and Brian Shanahan, sophomore. The swimmers will be back in action Friday at Ohio State University for the district meet.
