McClain beats Lynchburg in double header

The McClain Tigers and Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs began their baseball season Saturday with a double header at Mitchell Park. The McClain boys took the win in both games with final scores of 2-1 and 8-5. McClain baseball coach Rich Bunner said the Tigers played well and made a great defensive effort. Meanwhile, in softball action, the Lady Mustangs lost to McClain 22-1 in the first game, and 8-5 in the second.
