HABC red carpet gala in May

The Hillsboro Athletic Booster Club will host its annual red carpet gala on Saturday, May 13 at Hillsboro High School. The evening will consist of an appetizer hour with the opportunity to tour the Barnhouse Center, a catered dinner, interactive games, a large split-the-pot, a silent auction and the chance to win the grand prize of $10,000. Tickets are still available and are $100 each. Each ticket holder wins a prize. This fundraiser is important for Hillsboro City Schools as the proceeds go toward improving athletic facilities and complexes for Hillsboro student athletes. Goofy Golf Tournament May 21

The fifth annual Goofy Golf Tournament, benefitting the Sons of the American Legion, will be held Sunday, may 21 at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course. Registration begins at 10 a.m. followed by tee off at 11 a.m. The fee is $35 per person with proceeds benefiting the Sons of the American Revolution Highlanders Chapter. Hole sponsorships are $50. Checks can be made payable to DAV Chapter 123.

Snacks will be provided. There will be door prizes, raffles, a chili cookoff contest and a goofiest dressed contest. If you’ve never played golf or haven’t for a while, this is the time to try again. There are no rules in this tournament.

HDH Foundation golf outing in June

The Highland District Hospital Foundation will host its annual golf outing Friday, June 16 at the Buckeye Hills Country Club, 7261 Limes Rd. Greenfield, OH 45123. Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the day, with tee off beginning at 9 a.m. The outing will include raffles, split-the-pot, awards and mulligans. All proceeds will benefit the GreatER Care Campaign. Commitment Baseball School in June

Commitment Baseball School will have two sessions this summer. Session one will take place at Shaffer Park in Hillsboro, June 5-9. Session two will take place at Wilmington Williams Park from June 12-16. Time; 9am- 2pm. The camp is designed for boys and girls 6-14 yrs of age. Cost is $65 for pre-registration. $75 on site. Grow! Highland County golf outing in June

Grow! Highland County will be hosting a golf outing at the Hillsboro Elks Lodge on June 17. Tee times will be 8am and 1pm with a shotgun start. Fees to sponsor a team will be $200 and to sponsor a hole will be $100. Lunch will be provided. NVBC Basketball Camp 2017

The Nothview Baptist Church will be hosting their annual community basketball camp June 26th-29th from 8:30am to 11:30am at the Hillsboro Elementary School located at 500 US 62 Hillsboro, OH 45133. The camp will be free of charge and will be open to any student ages 5-12. The theme of this year’s camp is victory. To register please visit nvbchurch.org/register. Be sure to register online, bring a water bottle, wear tennis shoes, and enter at the back of the Gym.
