Fairfield, Lynchburg-Clay, and Whiteoak High Schools traveled to Southeastern High School on Saturday for the finals of the Southeast Div. III district track and field tournament. 13 individual athletes from the three Highland county teams qualified for the Region 11 regional track meet. Fairfield also qualified four relay teams for the regional meet.

Qualified individual athletes and teams from Fairfield are; the boys 4×800-meter relay team with a time of 8:23.96, Nate Buchanan in the boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 17.94, the boys 4×200-meter relay team with a time of 1:36.73, Ciara Colwell in the girls 1600-meter run wiht a time of 5:39.79 and in the girls 3200-meter run with a time of 12:33.78, Noah Richmond with a time of 4:32.46 and Andrew Davis with a time of 4:41.91 in the boys 1600-meter run, the boys 4×100-meter relay team with a time of 47.05, Garrett Spargur in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 44.79, Brandtson Duffie with a time of 1:59.43 and Trent Swisher with a time of 2:05.98 in the boys 800-meter run, Matthew Mangus with a time of 10:04.27 and Richm0nd with a time of 10:22.41 in the boys 3200-meter run, the boys 4×400-meter relay team with a time of 3:41.87, and Blake Adams with a distance of 37-06.00 in the girls shot put.

Qualified individual athletes from Lynchburg-Clay are; Zac Carter with a time of 11.67 in the boys 100-meter dash, the boys 200-meter dash with a time of 23.60, with a height of 6-00.00 in the boys high jump, and with a distance of 19-04.75 in the boys long jump, and Bobby Merry with a time of 2:07.30 in the boys 800-meter run.

Qualified individual athletes from Whiteoak are; Kensley Bailey with a time of 13.26 in the girls 100-meter dash, with a time of 27.00 in the girls 200-meter dash and with a distance of 16-05.75 in the girls long jump and Taylor Tackett with a time of 1:00.97 in the girls 400-meter dash and with a time of 26.69 in the girls 200-meter dash.

The preliminary round of the Region 11 regional track meet will be held at Fairfield Union High School on Wednesday with field events starting at 5pm and track events starting at 6pm.
