The Fairfield Lions golf team hosted the Whiteoak Wildcats at Buckeye Hills Country Club on Wednesday. The Lions emerged from the match with the win, 202 -205.

The Lions were led by match medalist Ryland Donley who carded a 42 for Fairfield to help secure the cross county victory. Wyatt Willey shot a 53, Bryson Simmons also shot a 53, and Brandon Vidourek rounded out the scoring for the Lions with a 54.

Fairfield was also represented by Ethan Saunders who shot a 58 and Justin Sowders who carded a 61.

The Lions will be in action again on Monday the August 28 when they travel to Hilltop Golf Course to take on the league rival Ripley Blue Jays in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.

Scores for the Whiteoak Wildcats were not available.
