Whiteoak, Lynchburg-Clay, and Fairfield take part in SHAC golf tournament

The second day of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference (SHAC) boys golf tournament was held Thursday at the Hilltop Golf Course in Manchester. The West Union Dragons sit atop the current leader board with a cumulative score of 329, the North Adams Green Devils are next with a 338, the Manchester Greyhounds are currently third with a score of 352, the Whiteoak Wildcats are fourth after carding a 396 over two days, the Ripley Blue Jays sit in fifth with a 399, the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs are sixth with a 406, the Fairfield Lions are in seventh having shot a 412, and the Eastern Warriors round out the field with a 427.

The Peebles Indians did not receive a score on day one of the tournament and shot a 189 on day two.

The Lions scored a 195 on day two of the tournament as Ryland Donley shot a 47, Brandon Vidourek had a 53, Bryce Posey carded a 50, Bryson Williams finished with a 49, and Wyatt Willy also had a 49.

The Mustangs recorded a 207 on day two as Eric McLaughlin shot a 47, Tyler Stevens had a 41, Jake Magie shot a 67, Jordan Wills had a 60, and Tyler Minton shot a 59.

The Wildcats finished day two with a team score of 198. Whiteoak was led by Zach Harless who shot a 46, Ryan Roberts had a 49, Jacob Campbell shot a 51, Casey Nace had a 52, and Clay Risner shot a 65.

The SHAC tournament will continue on Tuesday as the teams travel to Whiteoak Golf Course for day three of the tournament.

Day four of the tournament will be Thursday at Snow Hill Country Club in New Vienna.
