The Lady Indians golf team hosted the Lady Tigers of McClain on Tuesday for their senior night. Prior to the start of the match seniors from both teams were honored and received a small bouquet of flowers, balloons and a gift bag.
The non-league golf match saw Hillsboro claim the victory by 11 strokes with a final score of 204 – 215.
Kristin Jamieson was named match medalist after carding a one over par 39. Jamieson finished the season undefeated at home for the second year in a row.
Hillsboro was also represented at the match by; Emily Loudin with a 46, Larkyn Parry who shot a 58, Madi Stratton who carded a 61, Abby Myers who had a 64 and Mallory Parsons who also finished with a 64.
McClain was led by Bryn Karnes who had a 51, Kendall Pollard finished with a 52, Elissa Grate carded a 54, Erika Martin finished with a 58 and Cassidy Willis had a 69.
The Lady Indians also hosted New Richmond on Monday and came away with the win in a 196 – 276 match.
Jamieson led the charge for the Lady Indians with a par for the course 38, Loudin finished with a 47, Stratton chipped in with a 52, Parry carded a 59, Myers shot a 61, and Parsons had a 64.
New Richmond was represented by Katie Gardner who shot a 69, Tatem Kandner who had a 78, McKenzie Gammar finished with a 68, Meadow Holcomb shot a 70, Emily Fisher had an 80 and Antonia Wills carded a 69.
Hillsboro will be in action again on Saturday when they travel to Jackson to take part in the Frontier Athletic Conference (FAC) girls golf tournament. The Lady Indians finished the season 6 – 0 in the FAC and need to place third or better out of four teams to claim the league title.
