ZANESVILLE – Hillsboro sophomore Gabe MyCroft qualified for the Division I boys District golf tournament as an individual and traveled to Zanesville Tuesday to compete.

MyCroft fired a 50 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine to claim a score of 95 for 18 holes.

MyCroft finished in 34th in the tournament and his season came to an end one step from the State tournament.

Gabe is a valuable member of Hillsboro Indians golf team and helped the team to win the FAC league title this season.

I am extremely excited to see what the next two years brings him. Today was a good experience for him.

MyCroft stated “I want to come back”

Hillsboro Head Coach Nathan Boatman said, “I told him he will need to work at it and continue to make improvements.”
