COLUMBUS – The Ohio High School Athletic Association released the pairings for the first round of the football playoffs Sunday. On July 30, 718 OHSAA member schools began practice, and now 224 schools have qualified for the playoffs.

Two schools are in the playoffs for the first time in their school’s history (Springfield Northwestern and Toledo Start), while one school has tied the state record for most playoff appearances (Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller, 35) and one school has tied the state record for most consecutive playoff appearances (Coldwater, 22).
