Indians claim boys and girls FAC bowling titles

The Frontier Athletic Conference boys and girls varsity Bowling Tournament was held at Highland Lanes in Hillsboro on Saturday, February 9, and resulted in the Hillsboro Indians and Lady Indians winning the championship with identical league records of 15-0.

The McClain Tigers and Lady Tigers bowling teams finished in sixth place in the FAC with records of 0-15 and 1-14 respectively.

The Lady Indians had three bowlers selected All-FAC with Selena Mingua recording a 196 and earning Bowler of the Year for the girls portion of the league.

Taylor Jordan and Halie Hughes also earned spots on the All-FAC team with scores of 173 and 170 respectively on Saturday.

On the boys’ side of the tournament the Indians also had three All-FAC performers as Christian McCon, Hunter Springer and Brendon Ormes earned their spots with scores of 222, 200 and 188 respectively.

McClain was not represented on either of the all league teams.
