Tigers struggle in loss to Chillicothe

Week eight of high school football found the McClain Tigers traveling to Chillicothe for a Frontier Athletic Conference matchup against the Cavaliers. Despite having the ball almost 10 minutes longer than their opponents and only giving up 191 yards rushing to Chillicothe, the Tigers could not stop the scoring onslaught on Friday night.

Turning the ball over a total of five times and allowing the Cavaliers short touchdowns of 7 yards, 2 yards, 6 yards, 5 yards, and 8 yards, along with a pick-six interception and a field goal, the Tigers found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard as Chillicothe won 44-14.

Matt Bliss ran for 85 yards and Blake Gall added 45 yards for the McClain. The Tigers fell to 2-6 on the year and will host the Washington Blue Lions next Friday.
