Twelve Highland County boys basketball players and one coach have been named to the 2021-22 Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association All-Southeast District Boys Basketball Teams.
In Division II, McClain coach Joe B. Stewart was named co-coach of year along with Waverly’s Trey Robertson.
McClain (18-7) and Waverly (21-4) square off on a Division II regional tournament semifinal game at 8 p.m. Thursday at Ohio University’s Convocation Center in Athens.
McClain’s Bryson Badgley was named to the first team; Hillsboro’s Hunter Price and McClain’s Kendyll Toney were named to the second team; Hillsboro’s Ethan Parry was named to the third team; and McClain’s Braden Wright received special mention.
In Division III, Lynchburg-Clay’s Brady Chisman was named to the third team and teammate Ian Waits received special mention.
In Division IV, Whiteoak’s Bradley Ashbaugh and Fairfield’s Reece Teeters were named to the first team; Fairfield’s Tytis Cannon was named to the second team; Whiteoak’s Landon Barnett was named to third team; and Fairfield’s Brayden Zimmerman received honorable mention.
