Chillicothe wins FAC girls golf title

Chillicothe wrapped up a perfect season in Frontier Athletic Conference girls golf action Monday when it won the 18-hole championship round played at the Hillsboro Elks.

Isabella Fisher (Chillicothe) shot 84 to lead all individuals and Chillicothe concluded league play with a record of 35-0.

Team scores at the event were: Chillicothe 372, Jackson 441, Miami Trace 502, Hillsboro 504, McClain 506 and Washington 550.

That left the final 2022 FAC girls golf standings as follows:

Chillicothe 35-0

Jackson 28-6-1

Hillsboro 14-20-1

McClain 14-21

Miami Trace 14-21

Washington 0-35

The event also finalized the All-FAC Girls Golf Team and Hillsboro’s Hailey Phillips was the only Highland County player named to the team. Fisher was named FAC Player of the Year. Other team members were Aubrey Arnold of Jackson, Julie LeMaster of Chillicothe, Meryl Haller of Chillicothe, Mikayla Spaulding of Chillicothe and Emily Reeves of Miami Trac

Wednesday’s individual scores for Hillsboro were: Phillips 111, Emma Yochum 121, Kathryn Cluff 122 and Reagan Leeth 160.

Individual scores for McClain were: Kaylin Sterling 124, Jacolyn Bolender 125, Abbie Lovett 128, Cariann Todd 131, MacKenzie Corbin 142 and Kate Barrett 148.

Chillicothe scores were: Fischer 84, LeMaster 99, Haller 100, Spaulding 99 and Addison Smith 126.

Jackson scores were: Arnold 94, Taylor Mullins 112, Katelyn Williams 139, Schuler Murray 113, Alia Rippeth 124 and Sabella McCarty 158.

Miami Trace scores were: Reeves 103, Hannah Cummins 130, Audrey Mullins 123 and Jordan Cockrill 146.

Washington scores were: Faith Wynne 119, Claudia Fuller 153, Gwen Duncan 144, Alyson Foster 140 and Tevyn Carter 147.
