The Fairfield Lady Lions volleyball team hosted the McClain Lady Tigers on Monday evening and were outmatched, losing three straight sets to their opponents as the Lady Tigers won sets one, two, and three with scores of 25-15, 25-11 and 25-15.

“We played East Clinton and Washington during fair break so that was helpful,” said Lady Tigers Head Coach Emma Gall after the win. “We got the girls into the gym in the morning before each of those games just to get them up and ready. But fair week is always a hard week for everyone.

“We played well tonight. I put Liz Kegley in a different position tonight and had a good game and did what I asked her to do. Hunter [Scott] had a good game as well. All around it was a team effort.”

The Lady Tigers will be at Hillsboro High School on Tuesday night with that game set to start at approximately 6:15.

The Lady Lions will travel to Ripley on Tuesday.
