Indians fall victim to Massie 56-7

It was a rough night for the Hillsboro Indians as they host South Central Ohio League juggernaut Clinton-Massie.

Massie extended their streak of now 50 straight games against SCOL opponents with the 56-7 win.

The Indians defense was able to hold Massie to only two touchdowns in the first quarter, but the Falcons got on the board again early in the second quarter returning a punt for a touchdown.

On Hillsboro’s series after the Falcon touchdown, Heith Brown was able to find a hole in the middle and blasted through it and ran 63 yards almost untouched to put the Indians on the board with 10:21 to go with the score 21-7.

Unfortunately, that was the only touchdown for the night for the Hillsboro team as Massie tacked on 35 more points before the game came to its conclusion with a final of 56-7.

Hillsboro is now 1-6 overall and 0-4 in the SCOL and will travel to East Clinton next Friday looking for their first win in the league.
