The Hillsboro High School girls soccer team’s season came to a close in the sectional finals game on Thursday night as they traveled to Chillicothe and lost the contest 4-1.

The Lady Indians have met up with Chillicothe twice before this season, losing both match with scores of 3-1 at home and 1-0 at Chillicothe.

The first period of the game was a standoff between the two teams as neither team could get anything on the other. In the second half, Chillicothe came alive and scored three unanswered goals to make it 3-0 before Hillsboro could get on the board.

The lone goal for Hillsboro was off the foot of Lillian VanZant with 11:30 to go in the game but the Lady Cavaliers answered soon after with their fourth and final goal to bring the final to 4-1.

The Lady Indians finish their season with a record of 10-5-3 overall.
