It was a neck-and-neck game for the contest between the Lady Indians and Lady Tigers softball teams on Wednesday night as the Hillsboro girls were able to come away with a 5-3 win over their rivals.

The Lady Indians struck first and they struck last in the game, jumping out to an early lead in the second inning by bringing a run across to make it 1-0. The Lady Tigers gained the lead in the bottom of the same inning by scoring twice.

Things were quiet until the fifth inning when McClain added more to their lead making it 3-1. But Hillsboro wasn’t giving up that easily. They were able to bring home two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings while holding McClain scoreless and brought home a 5-3 win.
