Frieda M. Alldredge, 87, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at St. Catherine’s Manor in Washington C.H.

She was born April 3, 1929 in Farmersburg, Ind., the daughter of Herman and Ruth (Patton) Goble.

Frieda graduated from the Indiana State Teachers College in Music Education then went on to earn a master’s degree from the University of Wyoming. She was a beloved music educator and classroom teacher who was devoted to her students for many years. After starting her Ph.D, she became a principal in a school in the Wind-River Reservation in Wyoming.

Frieda was a great mom to her three children and loved more than anything to spend time with them. She was the first guitar and trumpet teacher to her children. She took them on rock-hunting and mountain-climbing adventures throughout Kansas, Colorado and Wyoming. She bought her boys their first baseball gloves and taught them how to play. She enjoyed cross-country skiing and loved the outdoors.

She is survived by one daughter, Rogena (Jim) Orr of Greenfield; one son, Len (Kathy) Keesee of Lewisville, Texas; and four grandchildren, Chelsea Orr, Grace Orr, Daniel Keesee and Rachel Keesee.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Keesee; her second husband, Everett Alldredge; her son, Gary Keesee; two brothers; one sister; and both parents.

A private memorial service will be held with no visitation.
