Mary C. Hinkle, 67, of the Rainsboro community, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 10, 2017.

She was born Sept. 3, 1949 in Fruitdale, the daughter of the late Jesse and Betty (Gephart) Trent.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mancil Trent; and one sister, Martha Watts.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth “Red” Hinkle, of 46 years; her loyal dog, Copper; and five kids she loved dearly, son, Bruce “Herb” (Rebecca) Bowman, and granddogs Bailey, Mac and Gatlin of Hillsboro, daughter, Chastity “Lynn” (Dale) Cox of Bainbridge, son, Jason (Ann) Hinkle of Hillsboro, daughter, Kenya (David) Albrecht of Bainbridge and daughter, Brittany Hutchins of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren, Kayla Dalton, Charlie Dalton Jr., Shania Dalton, Haley Hinkle, Seth Hinkle, Aron Albrecht, Shelby Albrecht, Lucy Albrecht and Emily Erkenbrecker; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Scott and Mia Dalton; four sisters, Betty (Laverne) Hargett of Hillsboro, Susan (Tim) Dalton of Hillsboro, Carolyn (Joe) Dalton of Rainsboro and Marie Richmond of South Salem; three brothers, Johnny (Rose) Trent of Hillsboro, Mike (Sue) Trent of Greenfield and Junior (Dot) Trent of Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family most of all. She also enjoyed spending time outside, planting and tending to her flowers. Mary had a great love for the good lord and had a very strong faith.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Roads Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
