On Jan. 19-20, five members of the Hillsboro FFA Chapter attended the 212 and 360 conferences in Dublin, Ohio. The five attendees had the opportunity to meet other FFA members from across the state.
The members who attended the 212 conference were Trinity Edenfield, Ashley Kimball, Ryan Mau and Trinity Storms. Joe Helterbrand attended the 360 conference. The 212 conference focused on taking students to the boiling point of leadership. This conference focuses on the development of the individual student.
During this conference members learned about four main growth aspects which include: mental, emotional, physical and social. Students were challenged to push the limits of their leadership.
The conference is designed for seventh to 10th grade students.
The 360° conference takes students full circle in chapter leadership development. The conference covers every angle on developing action plans for their chapters and communities. This conference is designed for 11th and 12th grade students. Students who attend the 360 conference learn how to influence others and how to become agents of change within their chapter and their communities.
The Hillsboro FFA members got a lot out of these conferences and are ready to share what they learned with other members of the chapter.
Trinity Edenfield said, “The 212/360 Conference was an eye-opening experience. Learning about ways to maximize my potential and start to grow in ways I never thought possible was awesome. I am so glad I took the opportunity to go to this conference.”
