Pet of the week

0

The Highland County Humane Society Pet of the Week is Rusty, a very loveable one-year-old terrier mix. He is neutered and loves everyone, kids included. He walks very well on a leash. Rusty will need a home with a fenced-in yard, as he loves to run and play and wants to be wherever the action is. Rusty has been with the humane society since January and is deserving of a nice family who wants to adopt him. If you can provide a good home to Rusty or any of the other dogs or cats at the humane society, visit 9331 SR 124, P.O. Box 471, Hillsboro. For more information, call 937-393-2110. The shelter is open six days a week from noon until 5 p.m., and is closed on Wednesdays. The humane society’s next pet adoption and fundraising event will be held at Advance America, 712 Harry Sauner Rd., Hillsboro, on Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be dogs and cats up for adoption and baked goods available for purchasing, as well as a collection box for items needed at the shelter. Items needed are bleach, laundry detergent, Dawn blue dish washing liquid, or Ivory dish washing liquid, paper towels and Lysol wipes; Pedigree dog food, Purina Puppy Chow, Purina Cat and Kitten Chow; and canned dog food or cat food or treats of any kind will all be appreciated. According to Advance America, all proceeds will go to help the Humane Society.
