Pet of the Week

The Highland County Humane Society Pet of the Week is Buddy, an 8-year-old male Jack Russell. He has a handicap as he is partially blind in one eye and is currently on meds for this situation. Buddy was surrendered because he needs to be in a home where he is the only dog. He enjoys spending time and getting attention from people, walks well on a leash, and when loose stays right by your side. Visit the Humane Society Animal Shelter if you can provide a good home to Buddy or any of the other dogs or cats. The shelter has lots of playful kittens up for adoption, too. You can visit the shelter at 9331 SR 124, Hillsboro. For more information call: 937-393-2110. The shelter is open six days a week noon to 5 p.m. and is closed Wednesdays. The Humane Society’s next pet adoption event will be at the Farmer’s Market next to the Highland County Courthouse in Hillsboro on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
