ODOT seeks comment on SR 753 project

As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation – District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s environmental office is seeking public input for a culvert rehabilitation project on SR 753 in Highland County.

The proposed project is the rehabilitation of a culvert located at the 3.62-mile marker on SR 753, between Cynthiana Road and Spargur Road, by lining the existing structure with a cured-in-place concrete liner and placing rock channel protection (RCP) at the outlet of the culvert.

The project will not require any new or temporary right of way, and no homes or businesses will be removed as a result of the project. Currently, a contract is anticipated to be awarded in the fall of 2019, and there should be little to no impact to traffic during construction.

Additional information, including a complete description, maps and plans sheets, is available online at www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D09/Pages/Public-Involvement-Process.aspx. Issues the public may wish to comment on include the effect on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.

Written comments should be submitted by Jan. 22, 2019, or the deadline date that is posted on the web site, to: Greg Manson, ODOT District 9 Environmental Supervisor, P.O. Box 467; 650 Eastern Ave., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601; or email: [email protected].

Submitted by Kathleen Fuller, ODOT District 9 public information officer.
