A waterline break was shooting water about 30 feet into the air in front of this house at 215 Chillicothe Pike at 1:25 p.m. Friday. A neighbor said the water had been shooting into the air for 20 to 30 minutes. A spokesperson with the Hillsboro Water Department said at 1:45 p.m. that water pressure in the area would be cut back for a short time, but would not be completely shut off. He said the problem should be fixed shortly and that a boil alert would not be necessary.
