The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

March 11

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

George Malaise Sr., 78, of Hillsboro, was arrested for domestic violence.

Charles Powell, 33, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a bench warrant.

Derek Myers, 38, of Hillsboro, was arrested for theft.

ACCIDENT

The police department responded to a three-car crash in the 1400 block of North High Street. Zachary McClurg, 38, of Hillsboro, and Sarah Fraley, 40, of Hillsboro, were both stopped in their vehicles on North High Street in the northbound lane. Fraley’s 2014 Chrysler was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Meghan Thurman, 27, of Hillsboro, who was driving a 2002 Pontiac. The impact caused Fraley’s vehicle to be pussed into McClurg’s 2000 Ford. Occupants were treated at the scene, and one male was transported to Highland District Hospital. He was later released. Thurman was cited for assured clear distance ahead. Thurman’s vehicle had to be towed from the scene. Minor damage was reported on the other two vehicles.

March 13

INCIDENT

At 12:40 a.m., the police epartment responded to the 700 block of North West Street for a report of a male sitting on the back porch. The male was found hiding in the shed and identified as Seth S. Elliott, 20 of Hillsboro. Elliott was arrested and transported to the Highland County Sheriff’s Department for criminal rrespassing.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Tabitha A. Throckmorton, 23, of Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Isiah T. Walters, 21, of Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Jamie M. Hawes, 38, of Hillsboro, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
