Lenten fish fry at VFW
The fourth annual Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m April 5 and 12 at Hillsboro VFW Post 909, 1000 W. Main St. behind the Dairy Queen. Dine-in and Carry-out services are available.
Nazarene craft bazaar
The Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene will host a craft bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at the church.
Northside C of C revival
The Northside Church of Christ, 25 Greenfield Pike, Hillsboro, will hold a gospel meeting featuring Bob Buchanon April 7-10. Services and their themes include: Sunday 9:30 a.m., Evangelism Around The World; Sunday 10:30 a.m., Found People Find People; Sunday 5 p.m., Why Some Christians Don’t Grow; Monday 7 p.m., Establishing Priorities in the Local Church; Tuesday 7 p.m., The Power of a Holy Life; Wednesday 7 p.m., Are you Ready for the Judgment Day?
Rainsboro C of C revival
The Rainsboro Church of Christ, 13072 Barrett Mill Rd., will hold a revival April 7-10 featuring speaker Kerry Allen and special music by Tim Villars. Sunday, April 7 events will be a service at 10 a.m., a finger foods at 5 p.m. and special music at 6:45 p.m. Services April 8-10 will begin at 6:45 p.m.
First Presbyterian Holy Week
The First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Main St., Hillsboro, has announced Holy Week and Easter services. On Palm Sunday, April 14, there will be an all-church Bible study at 8:30 a.m. and worship at 10 a.m. On Maundy Thursday, April 18, there will be a communion service at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. On Easter Sunday, April 21, there will be a sunrise service at 6:45 a.m. at the Liberty Park shelter house and worship in the sanctuary at 10 a.m.
HCA Benefit Dinner
The Hillsboro Christian Academy, 849 S. High St., will hold its annual benefit dinner April 18 at the academy. A silent auction starts at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Music by Back in Time Express, Christy Rhonemus, Kristy Rhodes and Michael Mountjoy will begin at 5:15 p.m. The meal is $5 for all ages and the menu will be turkey or roast beef hot shots, mashed potatoes, gravy, bread, salad, green beans and dessert. Tickets for a $1,000 gift card basket are available in the school office.
