The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

April 29

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Cathy Browning, 52, of Piketon, was arrested on a failure to appear bench warrant and for obstructing official business.

ACCIDENTS

The police department investigated a crash on North West Street near the intersection of West Main Street. Joshua Blevins, 33, of Hillsboro, was sitting stationary in traffic when his vehicle was struck from behind. Karen Hall, 59, of Lynchburg, stated that she was waiting in traffic in her vehicle when her foot slipped off the brake causing her vehicle to roll into the vehicle ahead of her. No injuries were reported.

The police department investigated a crash in the 700 block of North West Street. Kenneth Stacey, 59, of Seaman, was southbound on North West Street and had slowed down for a vehicle turning in front of him. Brenden Turner, 27, of Hillsboro, was traveling southbound behind the Stacey vehicle and was unable to stop in time to avoid a collision. Functional damage was reported to both vehicles. Turner was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.

Theresa Jones, 58, of Hillsboro, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

Jeremiah Watts, 29, of Hillsboro, was cited for driving under suspension and failure to display.

Chance Lawhun, 19, of Otway, was cited for speed

Dustin Baker, 38, of Winchester, was cited for speed.

Dallas Wright, 33, of Hillsboro, was arrested for theft.

John Peterson, 48, of Hillsboro, was arrested on a failure to appear warrant.
