More than $13,000 in prize money, including a grand prize of $8,000, will be up for grabs when the fifth annual KAMP Dovetail Krusade Dinner is held Saturday, June 1 at the Hillsboro Elementary School.

The event is a fundraiser for KAMP Dovetail, which this year will be held the week of Monday, June 17.

The dinner is just one of several fundraisers held annually by SATH (Supplemental Assistance to the Handicapped) to support Dovetail, which provides more than 325 children with special needs a five-day, four-night camping experience that is the only one of its kind in the area, according to Executive Director Linda Allen.

KAMP Dovetail is held at Rocky Fork State Park, just outside of Hillsboro. Staff members and counselors are all volunteers, which allows campers to attend for little to no cost to their families.

For the KAMP Dovetail Krusade Dinner, 300 tickets are being sold for $100. In addition to the chance to win lots of money, ticket holders receive a steak or chicken dinner provided by the Hillsboro Ponderosa Steakhouse. Additional dinners, without the chance to win prize money, can be purchased for $25. Dinner will be served from 6-7 p.m. with the money drawing starting at 7 p.m.

You do not have to be present to win.

The first and every 10th ticket drawn will win $100. The 296th ticket drawn will win $250, the 297th ticket win $500, the 298th ticket win $750, the 299th ticket win $1,000, and the 300th ticket will win $8,000.

Tickets can be purchased by contacting Allen at 937-366-6657. Checks should be made payable to the KAMP Dovetail Krusade and mailed to: KAMP Dovetail Krusade, 5350 W. New Market Rd., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
