The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Dec. 8

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Hylan Smith, 20, of Xenia, was cited for driving under suspension and fictitious tags.

Linda Puckett, 48, of Seaman, was cited for speed.

Caden Hess, 18, of Sardinia, was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

INCIDENT

At 6:19 a.m., the police department received a call from a resident in the 200 block of South High Street. A victim stated that on Dec. 3 unknown person/persons entered the residence and stole miscellaneous property. The report is under investigation.

ACCIDENT

At 6:47 p.m., the police department responded to a three-car, non-injury crash near the intersection of North High Street and Harry Sauner Road. James Duffield, 52, of Hillsboro, had stopped his vehicle on North High Street to allow the vehicle in front of him to turn into a business. Jennifer Gleadle, 26, of Hillsboro, failed to noticed Duffield’s vehicle stopped in front of her vehicle and struck the rear of his 2007 Chrysler. No damage was sustained. Caleb Worley, 30, of Hillsboro, was traveling behind Gleadle and failed to stop in time, striking the rear of Gleadle’s 2010 Chevrolet. Minor damage was reported. No citations were issued.
