A couple young girls frolic in front of carolers Friday just before the official lighting of a Christmas tree at the corner of Governor Trimble Place and North High Street during a Hillsboro Uptown Christmas. The event that also featured visits with Santa Claus, readings to children, horse-drawn carriage rides and a number of businesses offering special treats drew large crowds to the uptown area.
