What a beautiful setting our Highland County presents to residents and visitors. The beautification of homes, businesses and institutions is appreciated by many and is the result of hours of toil and planning. Spirits are lifted and the day’s enjoyments are multiplied by the sights around us.
The Hillsboro Garden Club continues its efforts to recognize landscaping inspirations in the community. The Hillsboro Garden Club Award Designations for 2016 from Ohio Association of Garden Clubs Residential Landscaping for outstanding achievement in design and maintenance of residential property and community beautification, in order of placement, are:

2nd – 114 June Avenue – Lynn Otis and Stanley Otis
3rd – 118 June Avenue – Sandra and James Hunter
4th – 225 SR 138 (Danville Pike) – Lynn Musser and Bill Musser
Community commercial landscaping for outstanding achievement in design and maintenance of Commercial Property and Community Beautification are:
1st – 241 East Main Street. – Thompson Funeral Home (Steve Thompson)
Residential landscaping for outstanding achievement in design and maintenance of Residential Property by Commercial Design Landscaping:
1st – 631 North High Street – Theresa & Sid Raisch.
