Results for Fairfield High School soccer and cross country events from Oct. 12.

The Fairfield boys soccer was at home against Portsmouth for a sectional tournament game and the Lions away with a 8-0 shutout.

The Lady Lions were not as fortunate with a 5-4 loss to West Union.

In boys and girls cross cross country at the Southern Hills Athletic Conference meet at Ripley, the Fairfield boys came in first place as SHAC champions and the girls claimed the runner-up spot in the conference.

Fairfield’s Cohen Frost and Ciara Colwell claimed both the SHAC Runner of the Year honors by taking first place in their respective events.
