Ministerial association planning NDP observance in Greenfield

The Greenfield Area Ministerial Association is inviting the public to a National Day of Prayer observance that will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1 at the Greenfield City Building.The observance will include prayer for political leaders, churches, families and others, plus a message from a speaker to be named on prayer and its importance to the nation’s present and future, according to Joseph Cunningham, president of the Greenfield Area Ministerial Association (GAMA).

The team tallied a total of 30 hits in the five innings it took them to beat the Manchester squad 31-5. With the big win, the Lady Mustangs improved to 7-9 overall and 5-3 in the SHAC.

The Lynchburg baseball team only needed five innings to defeat Southern Hills Athletic Conference opponent Manchester on Tuesday night. Whiteoak Task Force organizes egg hunts at Bright Elementary

For several years the Whiteoak Task Force has organized and produced Easter egg hunts at Bright Elementary. There was a hunt for the first-graders and then another one for the kindergarteners. This year a lot of little jewelry and toys were put in the eggs in addition to the candy. The kids especially love the Easter Bunny who always comes along.
