For the sixth year in a row. good-hearted martial artists from 12 local schools came together at the Lynchburg-Clay Elementary School for the Toys for Kids Karate Tournament.
Brown belt Maxine Ludwick led the Cross County Bushido Karate Club and won second place in the weapons competition.
Green belt Ariel Kibbey was first in sparring, second in kata and first in the best kicker contest.
Katelin Heizer was first in kata, second in sparring and second in the best kicker competition.
White belt Kassy Edwards was first in sparring, first in kata and second in the best kicker contest.
Jared Morgan was second in kata while Kendrick Fithen was second in sparring and third in kata.
Karissa Moore took second in kata and third in sparring.
Joey Jordan was first in sparring, second in kata and third in the best kicker contest.
Adrian Ekhator placed first in sparring, third in kata and third in the best kicker contest.
Kamryn Lee was second in kata and Madilyn Watkins was third in kata.
Noah A. Aronhalt took third in sparring and kata.
