Local area schools postpone Friday sporting events

Due to forecasts predicting freezing rain and accumulating snowfall Friday afternoon all local schools have postponed basketball games that were scheduled for Friday evening.

Hillsboro City Schools have postponed their all all games previously scheduled for Friday. The boys basketball game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 7, with the JV game to start at 6 p.m. with the Varsity game to follow.

The Lynchburg-Clay Local School District and Bright Local Schools have postponed all basketball games for Friday. The games have been rescheduled for Saturday, January 13. The freshmen games will start time at 5 p.m. with the JV and Varsity game to follow.

Bright Local School have postponed the basketball games scheduled for Friday night at Ripley High School. A make-up date has been set for Saturday, January 27. The freshmen game will begin at 4:30 p.m. with JV and Varsity games to follow.

Fairfield Local School District has postponed the boys basketball games against Manchester that were scheduled for Friday evening. A make-up date has been set for Wednesday, January 24.

The Greenfield Exempted Village Schools postponed their home boys basketball game scheduled for Friday night. A make-up date has been set for Saturday, January 27, with the freshmen game scheduled to start at 4:45 p.m. and the JV and Varsity games to follow.

Greenfield Exempted Village Schools have also postponed the girls varsity basketball game against Jackson that was scheduled for Saturday, January 13. The game has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 8. The JV is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. with the Varsity game to follow.
