XENIA — Police have identified the body discovered in a wooded area on South Galloway March 31.

Ryan D. Adkins, 23, of Xenia, was found face down by a man walking his dog around 10 a.m. Friday, according to Capt. Alonzo Wilson.

There was no sign of foul play or drugs, but Adkins does have a drug abuse history, Wilson said. Police are treating it as suspicious, Wilson added.

“We really don’t have a lot of information right now of what caused him to pass away,” he said.

The Greene County Coroner’s Office was on the scene and will complete an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

That report will take weeks to get back, Wilson said.
