State Route 72 in Highland County has been reopened following a railroad repair to the Greenfield Rail Line.

As part of the village of Greenfield’s rail line improvement project, contractors for the village closed SR 72 between U.S. Route 62 at Samantha and SR 28 at Highland on July 17, in order to repair the at-grade railroad crossing that is situated approximately one-half mile south of Highland.

The project on SR 72 was scheduled to continue through the end of the business day today, July 21; however, all work was completed in advance, and the route has been reopened.
