Peebles WAKA Kickball Tournament

The Peebles Alumni Association will be hosting a double elimination kickball tournament on August 14, 15 in Peebles, Ohio. Two kickball lined fields will be used and are located behind the Peebles Police Station where the old High School is.

The first game will be played at 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by games at 7 and 8. The remainder of the games will be played Saturday starting at 9 a.m.

Each team can be made up of both men and women and may field a team of at least eight but no more than 11 players, which must include one pitcher and one catcher. The fee is $100 and payable to the Peebles Alumni Association

Concessions will be available.

Fairfield Fall Sports Kick Off

Fairfield middle and high school will celebrate our fall sports teams with a kick-off parade on August 14th, starting at 7 p.m.

Each team will prepare a hay wagon/float. Parade will depart from the Crossroads Diner Parking lot, travel through village of Leesburg and out 771 to the school. Residents are encouraged to line the streets.

A trophy will be given for best float. Pep rally to kick off fall teams upon arrival at the high school in the high school gym.

Twilight Glow Run

The Fairfield Cross Country team will be hosting a Twilight Glow Run Friday July, 31 at the Highland County North Joint Fire and Ambulance Station, located at 200 South Street in Leesburg.

There will be a Kiddie Dash at 9 p.m. for children ages 5 and under. There is a $5 registration fee which includes a glow necklace.

At 9:30 p.m., there will be a one miles race and at 10 p.m. there will be the 5K race. Pre-registration is $20 and includes a glow necklace and t-shirt. You can pre-register on eventbrite.com or by mail. The registration fee is $25 after July 27.

Prizes awarded to top 3 finishers, male & female, in each age group, and prize for brightest runner in each race!

Proceeds benefit Fairfield Cross Country Teams

This is a rain-or-shine event. No refunds will be issued. In case of severe weather (lightning), the event will be rescheduled and participants will be notified of the new date by email.

Bill Pfister Gold Stick Classic

The Bill Pfister Gold Stick Classic wiffle ball tournament will be held Saturday, July 25 at 9 a.m. at the Old School Lynchburg Park.

Entry fee on or before July, 11 is $100 per team and $125 if before July 18.

Cash prizes and t-shirts for winner and t-shirts for runner up. There will also be a home run derby.
