The Highland County Republican Women met July 23 to plan fall activities. The following items were voted on and approved:

• Drew Hastings for mayor. Meet and greet fundraiser to be held Aug. 29 at 5 p.m.

• The group will hold an auction of donated items as a club fundraiser on Sept. 26. This is tentative date. New and gently used items are appreciated.

• Changed regular meeting day back to Saturdays at 10 a.m. at GOP headquarters.

• Next meeting to be held Saturday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. to finalize plans for the Hastings fundraiser and the auction.
