The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

Dec. 14

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Timmy Hamm, 39, of Leesburg, for no operator’s license.

Courtney Hall-Orr, 29, of Sardinia, for driving under suspension and failure to file registration.

Angela Hamm, 36, of Leesburg, for failure to appear.

Leroy Thomas, 32, of Hillsboro, for assault and domestic violence.

ACCIDENT

On Sunday, Dec. 13 at 1:10 p.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash. Angela Brown, 47, of Hillsboro, was eastbound on Fenner Avenue. Brown stated she was chocking on food and was coughing and does not remember anything else until a female woke her up. Witnesses stated Brown traveled east across the intersection on North High Street and Fenner Avenue, striking a utility pole.

Dec. 11

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

Cindy Lunsford, 45, of Hillsboro, for OVI, driving in marked lanes, failure to obey a traffic control device, open container, turn signal, failure to comply and resisting arrest.

INCIDENT

On Thursday, Dec. 10 at 4:25 p.m. the police department responded to Hazel Street in reference of a male and female arguing. Jason Huffer was arrested for disorderly conduct.

On Thursday, Dec.10 at 7:55 p.m. the police department received a 911 transfer in reference to an argument between a male and female in the alleyway in the 300 block of West Walnut Street. Danny Gillman and Monique Gillman were both arrested for domestic violence.

On Friday, Dec. 11 at 4:55 p.m. the police department was contacted by an off-duty officer advising that a male subject was observed in the front passenger seat of black Volkswagen Beetle. Terry Swiger was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. Swiger was located and arrested for failure to appear on two bench warrants and possessing drug abuse instruments. A female passenger, Stephanie Childs, was also arrested for failure to appear.

ACCIDENT

On Friday, Dec. 11 at 5:59 p.m. the police department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Harry Sauner Road. Douglas Cooper, 19, of Lynchburg, was traveling east on Harry Sauner Road. Trevor Hughes, 38, of Hillsboro, was stopped in traffic on Harry Sauner Road. Cooper failed to come to a stop and struck the rear of the vehicle driven by Hughes. Cooper was cited for assured clear distance.
