Tis the season for giving and the employees of Heartland of Hillsboro are among many organizations that have participated in sponsoring families for Christmas. Kim Gregory, dietary manager, collected names from Community Action, placed them on a Christmas tree and the employees of Heartland picked the family that they wanted to sponsor and collect gifts for the family members. A total of 12 families were sponsored and gifts were delivered to Community Action to help the families celebrate the season. Gregory was thrilled with the number of employees that sponsored the families and is hoping to continue next year and make it a tradition for the center.
