Hillsboro FFA goes caroling and shopping

0

Hillsboro FFA members gathered after school on Dec.15 to go Christmas caroling for nursing home residents as well as shopping for Adopt-A-Family, a program in which members of the community come together and help provide Christmas gifts for families in difficult financial situations. These activities counted as the monthly FFA meeting for December. The members took a bus to three nursing homes including The Laurels, Bell Gardens Place, and Heartland. After Christmas caroling the members went to Walmart to shop for 25 individuals in need. The members split up into small groups and were assigned a person to shop for. The money spent on the individuals was raised during a 5K event that the Hillsboro FFA hosted in November.
