Stretching Your Educational Value on Feb. 10

A one-hour Lunch-and-Learn presentation of Stretching Your Educational Value will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Southern State Community College campus located at 351 Brooks Malott Road, Mt. Orab. This seminar, which is free and open to the public, will be presented by John H. Hitchcock, Ph.D., and J.R. Roush, Ed.D.

The speakers will discuss engaging the community in international, regional, and local research practices through internships, travel, and grant-writing opportunities. This presentation is recommended for:

• College students and employees, high school students and personnel; local businesses and organizations;

• Those who want to learn more about understanding the value and opportunities that result from education completion; and

• Those who are asking themselves where am I going and why? How am I preparing to get there?

Hitchcock is director of the Center for Evaluation & Education Policy (CEEP) and associate professor for Indiana University Bloomington. Roush is dean of Core Studies and Brown County Campus Director for Southern State Community College.
