The Hillsboro Police Department has released the following information:

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

On Feb.13 at 3:23 p.m. thye police department responded to Wal-Mart on Harry Sauner Drive for after receiving a report of theft. Skylar N. Gartin, 23 of Chillicothe, was charged with theft.

Darrell Spencer, 74, of Hillsboro. citation failure to yield at intersection.

A 13-year-old Hillsboro male was charged with disorderly conduct and possession and/or consuming tobacco products as a juvenile.

Amanda Faye Piatt, 27, of Hillsboro, illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

Johnny Ray Lawson, 36, of Hillsboro, illegal possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

James Firley Wireman, 45, of Peebles, failure to appear and a bench warrant.

Melody Jo Roades, 34, of Hillsboro, failure to comply with signal of a police officer.

Augusta Ciay, 43, of Fayetteville, assauft.

INCIDENTS

On Feb. 14 at 2:33 a.m. the police department responded to Holtfield Gas Station after receiving a report of a fight between two females inside the store. Upon officer arrival it was found that a physical altercation had occurred between Shanna Waldman, 25, of Hillsboro, and Christopher Perdue, 31 of Wilmington. During the investigation several verbal altercations occurred in the parking lot of Holtfield. Sandra Cosby, 23 of Wilmington, was arrested and charged with persistent disorderly conduct and an outstanding warrant. Waldman and Perdue were cited for disorderly conduct. Rodney Cosby Jr., 25, ofWilmington, was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

On Feb. 13 at 1:17 a.m. the police department received a call from Shain Kelley advising that his vehicle had been stolen while parked in front of the fire department on North East Street. The vehicle had left northbound on North East Street. After the vehicle description was provided, the police department and Highland County Sheriff’s Office began attempting to locate the vehicle, a 2008 Mazda 6, red in color. At 1:23 sheriff’s office advised a unit had the vehicle stopped on the Westview Motors parking lot on North High Street. The vehicle was found in possession of Nicole J. Pierce, 35, of Hillsboro. Pierce was charged with OVI, driving under suspension, and receiving stolen property. The vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner.
